Change layout and style
Change the layout
Section titled “Change the layout”- Open a map and tap ⋮ in the top corner.
- Tap Layout.
- Tap a layout. The map re-arranges itself behind the sheet, so you can see the result before you close it.
Horizontal is free. The other seven layouts need Pro. If you don’t have Pro, they are still listed so you can see what they are.
To fit more of the map on screen, turn on Compact spacing at the bottom of the same sheet. It only applies to the map you have open.
Pick a theme
Section titled “Pick a theme”- Tap ⋮ → Stylesheet.
- Tap a theme. The whole map changes: canvas, colours, shapes and connectors.
- Tap Done.
Classic, Ocean and Midnight are free. The rest are Pro. Locked themes still show in full colour, so you can see what you would get.
Any styling you have given single topics survives a theme change.
Style one topic, or several
Section titled “Style one topic, or several”- Select a topic. To style several at once, long-press each of them.
- Tap Style.
- Change the text (bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, size, alignment), the shape, or the fill, text and border colours. Each change shows on the map straight away.
Style → Reset puts a topic back to the theme’s look.
Recolour a branch
Section titled “Recolour a branch”Select the topic at the top of the branch, open Style, and pick a Branch colour. The topic, everything under it, and the connectors between them all change. Pick Automatic to go back to the theme’s colour.
Add a border
Section titled “Add a border”Select a topic, tap ⋯ → Border, then choose:
- Branch border: a tinted outline around the topic and its whole branch
- Group border: a dashed outline around the topic and its children
- No border: removes it again
